There are varieties of services available now to the pet owner; it is wise to make the appropriate choice that best suits your pet and expectations. You will find several methods of housing and caring for pets available. Being certified in dog behavior and having a background in dog training makes the owner uniquely qualified. Having done in-depth research and studied play behavior in wild species and dogs provides knowledge and confidence for overseeing dogs in social environments that you should expect to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet.
Dogs are unique, they are a domesticated species, and many remain playful for most of their lives. Dogs should never be left outside unsupervised. All dogs need time for resting quietly. We make sure your dog has adequate rest time during the day. Keeping dogs aroused all day actually promotes excitable behavior, it does not teach your dog how to relax.
Dogs are often divided into small and large dog groups. Individual dogs have different personalities and/or different experience in social environments. Some dogs are assertive some timid and some in-between, mixing these personalities into the wrong groups can lead to problem behavior.
Play behavior often leads to increased arousal levels sometimes leading to aggression. This is why you need to be sure individuals overseeing your dog’s socialization are educated sufficiently in dog behavior. Otherwise, your pet could be stressed simply being housed in this type of environment.
Since all dogs staying with us receive the same amount of care and attention, we are now offering one price for all. Daily boarding effective, June 1, 2009, will be $38.00 per night. We request a minimum of one week in advance of any cancellations.
If you have a puppy requiring housetraining, we charge $60.00 per day, since this requires more care to ensure your dogs successful housetraining.
Dogs who board with us enjoy unique care including supervised dog day care (socialization & playtime) and minimum four outside potty opportunities on a natural surface. We also provide a clean environment and large securely fenced area.
We require a minimum 4-hour daycare evaluation prior to boarding with us. We want to make sure your dog is well behaved, social, and has good handling skills. We make exceptions, depending on the dog’s behavior problem and our ability to keep everyone safe and stress free. Exceptions are made for dogs that have gone through our training and/or behavior consultation and determined your dog is ready for this type of care.
We specialize in training and promote good dog behavior and manners, we try to ensure; your dog does not learn bad habits while in our care. We also notify you if anything might improve your dog’s behavior. We can often provide written materials that might be helpful in achieving success.
We provide a natural grass, mulch, treed environment. We do not provide a hard surface play area like many facilities. We do not make grooming or baths mandatory and since dogs can be dogs, given the playtime opportunities, they will get dirty. So, please do not expect your pet to be as clean as when they arrived.
Grooming and baths are optional but we encourage you consider having your pet bathed and/or groomed after any stay longer than two-three days. During your dog’s stay if necessary they are brushed, we do not charge extra for this, we want to keep our inside environment and dogs bedding as clean as possible. We may wash bedding for an additional charge if necessary, please try to bring a clean dog bed
We use and recommend Precious Furs (941-927-7387) for baths and/or grooming. We charge a drop and pick up fee of $15.00 to get them to/from the groomer. We do not charge extra for the grooming charges. We make all the arrangements for appointments and bill you at time of pickup. Please let us know if you choose to include this service.
We are flexible in our pricing structure and can negotiate for extended stays and number of dogs. However, we are confident in our current pricing structure, while providing all the needs and benefits your dog is offered that many other facilities charge extra is well structured.
Parasite Control it is your responsibility to make sure your pet is adequately protected from fleas and/or ticks. When your dog arrives, we will inspect them. We take care to treat our natural environment to protect our own pets, this can help insure your pet’s added protection from fleas and ticks, but it does not guarantee or excuse you from providing your pet flea/tick treatment prior to a scheduled stay.

There is a minimum charge of $30.00 for a 30-minute evaluation, consult, and visit.
Check In Time - anytime between 7:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., and 7:00 P.M.
Check Out Time - anytime between 7:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., and 7:00 P.M.
Exceptions are considered but additional charges apply. The day begins when you drop your pet and ends the following day at 11:00 A.M. Any pet picked up prior to 11:00 A.M. will not be charged an additional day.
Applicable trip charges apply for pick up and drop off. Proof of rabies vaccination is required (applicable per Florida & Sarasota County Law) for boarding and day care and must be provided prior to the scheduled boarding time. We request this 1 week in advance of your scheduled dogs stay. Your veterinarian should fax this information to 941-966-1188.
In cases, a veterinarian has determined it detrimental for your dog’s health to receive specific vaccinations, we accept a written letter on veterinarian letterhead stating otherwise. We also accept titer testing. We understand there may be negative health implications and encourage you to make those decisions with your veterinarian. We want to make sure the health of all dogs is considered.

We offer this service for dog owners whose pet may need or benefit from continued socialization opportunities. We also understand what it is like raising a new puppy so we provide help during those critical first weeks when you are trying to establish good housetraining skills while meeting critical demands in establishing location and substrate preferences.
We can also help with dogs that may have issues related to separation distress but since we know how difficult and complex this behavior is, a private consult and evaluation is mandatory before making any commitment to this type of care. We can offer some holistic advice and we are willing to work with your veterinarian to help you get through any difficult times.
